Biography

I am a public health researcher with training in microbiology, epidemiology, and health data analytics. I hold a BSc in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, an MPH with honors from Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, and an MS in Project Management with Analytics from Northeastern University.

My research focuses on infectious disease epidemiology, vaccine preventable diseases, digital health, disease surveillance, outbreak detection and control, and epidemic and pandemic preparedness. I have published peer reviewed work on the endocrine effects of COVID 19 in elite athletes, early outbreak detection using multisource data integration, and governance of AI powered telehealth systems. I am a named contributor to the Oxford COVID 19 Government Response Tracker at the Blavatnik School of Government.

I am a member of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), the American Public Health Association (APHA), the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA), and the Project Management Institute (PMI). My current work centers on building open data infrastructure to support locally grounded epidemiological research across Africa.
